Creative problem solving challenges for kids aged 6-11
Students learn how to think like designers to solve problems and design solutions for kids and families just like them.

Weekend Activities,
Saturday Afternoons
Our 4-hour sessions are life half day camps. Students are grouped by Grades 1-2 and Grades 3-5. Each session includes 30 minutes of outdoor time and snacks.
Rotating themes
Each activity explores a new application of design thinking, so students who attend all 3 can develop a deep understanding of the concept.
Complete design cycles
Students go through the full design thinking process in 3 hours: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test with feedback.
Take-home projects
Each session ends with something tangible, such as a prototype, pitch, or presentation that students can bring home.

Design toys your little siblings will love
Understanding what kids like: Looking at examples and asking questions about what younger children enjoy playing with
Building simple prototypes: Creating toy versions using basic materials like cardboard, simple electronics, and everyday objects
Quick testing: Watching younger kids play with the toys and learning what to improve next time
Redesign your neighborhood park
Park observation: Walking through a nearby park to see how people use it, what’s popular, what’s empty, what could be better
Preparing questions: Creating interview questions for parents and neighbors who share their thoughts about the park
Simple redesigns: Drawing or building models of improvement, such as a new play area, better seating, or shaded space

Plan a service you could offer to families
Finding what people need: Asking parents or neighbors about what help they actually want and would pay for
Planning your service: Deciding what to offer, when to do it, how much to charge, and how to explain it clearly
Practice explaining: Presenting their service idea to others and answering questions about how it would work
